Who expected that Alexander the great king
died? It's nobody. He was an ancient Greek King (basileus) of Macedon in
323 BC. He was one of the most successful military commanders of all
time and is presumed undefeated in battle. He conquered the Achaemenid
Persian Empire, and Macedon's European territories. This was most of the
world as known to the ancient Greeks. And he was able to avoid the
assassination.
However, he was defeated at an infected one little mosquito. sickness
that followed a drinking party, or a relapse of the malaria he had
contracted in 336 BC.
At all events, what is certain is that on June 11, Alexander was dead. |
